Fall Leaves - November 2008

As 2008 draws to an end the trees explode with color. It’s been a warm summer with a long dry spell, but the colors are really great. The oaks were the first to change, along with other hard woods. The soft Maples are just starting to go into full color. With my busy schedule I haven’t had the time to shoot in the field, so I shot all these indoors. I carefully collected leaves that looked interesting, to me anyway. I then set up my homemade light tent and went to work. I used a black felt background. The colors really come to life under the right light. I did get a chance to shoot a few pictures while driving back from Kentucky. We stopped at Turkey Run State park in Indiana. Wow, I wish I had more time there; it has a lot to offer. I’ll be putting up some of those shots later this week.
