Michigan City Beach- March 2009

At last... a day in the 60's. We decided to take a drive to the Lighthouse Mall in Michigan City, In. I couldn't resist packing up the camera. I figured I could a least get to stop by the beach for one shot. Well hunger got in the way of taking a walk down the beach but I had to make the drive through since we were already there. Pulling into the parking lot I noticed this Seagull sitting on the wall with the sand a perfect background. These birds really do have some beautiful and interesting markings. This one was young enough to still look just about perfect. The blue grey and black over the white feathers with the red eye circle and striped bill really made this one stand out.
